Inventory Officer

A luxurious hotel located in Victoria Island, Lagos is currently seeking an Inventory Officer to join their dynamic workforce
Job Title: Inventory Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal stock levels
  • Ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to usage and sales
  • Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products
  • Manage receipt of goods from vendors/ contractors and issuance of stock items to user departments
  • Render monthly report on store position to Finance Department for reconciliation with various departments
  • Plan and conduct periodic stock counts and weekly inventory reconciliation
  • Prepare and issue vouchers for stock requisitions
  • Update inventory management system with effected transactions
  • Respond to vendor calls and inquiries
  • Establish SLA and metrics including quality measurements for vendors
  • Perform vendors evaluation and engage the management with recommendations
  • Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • First Degree in Business Administration and Management related course preferably Accounting or Procurement Management
  • 2+ years of Inventory Control and Management experience
  • Good numeric skills
  • Booking skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Office administration skills
  • Ability to manage large accounts
  • Attention to details and high level  of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral etc)
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
