Performance management

Training program: Performance management is to ensure that goals are achieved in an organization. Performance of individuals is set against a task or goals. The actual output at the end determines whether performance should be rewarded or reprimanded.

How to manage performance:

  • Set a target (Use SMART criteria)
  • Plan action
  • Execute action
  • Set performance against target (Use rating such as; Excellent, Good, Bad, Worse)
  • Draw out the dependent variables
  • Review performance
Performance management is tool use by the HR of an organization to determine those to be rewarded or reprimanded.
